Empowering Change: Supporting the ISPCAN 2024 Congress in Uppsala
The International ISPCAN Sweden 2024 Congress at Uppsala Konsert & Kongress (UKK) took place from August 18th to 21st. This significant event brought together delegates from 73 countries, all united by a shared mission: to prevent child abuse and neglect on a global scale. The congress began with a warm welcome from Professor Laura Korhonen, Head of the Swedish National Centre for Knowledge on Violence Against Children/Barnafrid, and Mrs. Pragathi Tummala, CEO of ISPCAN (International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect). Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden delivered an opening speech, further highlighting the profound importance of the event.
The theme of this year’s congress, "Working Together in Times of Crisis," deeply resonated with the challenges of today's global landscape. Throughout the event, participants engaged in meaningful discussions, shared knowledge, and explored innovative solutions. Our involvement in supporting this congress reaffirms our commitment to empowering those who work tirelessly to protect children and build a safer, more compassionate world.
